How to browse all volunteer opportunities?

To browse all volunteer opportunities on Social Career, please download“Social Career”APP on App Store or Play Store

What does “Social Career” application provide? Any fee?

  • Via “Social Career” application, you can:

    • Browse different types of volunteer recruitments and apply online

    • Check details of applied volunteering, volunteer hours record & social CV

    • Manage personal information and change password

    • Details of volunteering will synchronize with Google Calendar automatically with scheduled reminders

  • “Social Career” application is free to download and use

How to register?

  • Download and install “Social Career” application and enter the login page

  • Fill in your name and email address or mobile no. to register

  • You will receive an verification email or SMS and follow the instruction to verify your account

  • Now, you can simply click “I Want To Help” on interested Volunteer Recruitment page

What to do if I don't receive a verification email or SMS?

  • Please check your Promo or Spam box to see any verification email

  • If no , please confirm if the email address you previously input is correct

    • Click on “Account” & click on your icon

    • Confirm if the email address you previously input is correct

    • If the email address is correct, you can try clicking on the "Request Re-send" button. (Sometimes, email service providers will sort our emails to the promotion / junk mail box.)

    • If the email address is incorrect, you can log out from this account and register a new account

What if I forget my password?

  • Go to “Social Career” Mobile APP

  • Press "forget password"

  • Enter your registration email or phone number

  • Click "submit"

  • Check the mailbox and open the Reset Password email

  • Click the link to set up a new password

After clicking “I Want To Help”, does it mean my application is confirmed?

  • No, you have to wait for the confirmation from the organizer. Your application result will be informed by the recruiting organisation

  • If you submit an application, you will receive a "Volunteer Application received" email from our system automatically informing you that the application form has been submitted to the volunteer organisation. (The email could be found in the Inbox or even the Spam folder)

  • If your application is accepted by the recruiting organisation, you will receive a "Application successful" email. Instead, you will receive a "Application declined" email if your application has not been accepted

  • The recruiting organisations will contact you by phone, email or instant message in regards to the application result

  • Also, you can check the status on mobile APP

  • Click “Schedule” to see latest status

    • "Accepted" means Application successful

    • "Pending" means Application has not yet been handled by the organisation

    • "Not Validate" means your account has not completed the verification process (please follow the email instructions you received when registering for a Social Career account to complete the verification process and your application will be sent to the organisation upon completion)

  • If the service date is approaching, but the status is still displayed as "Pending", please try to reach the contact person of the recruiting organisation to get the result

  • The contact information can be found in the email and service details

How to review my application?

  • Click “Schedule” to check all applied volunteer opportunities and status

How to edit my application form?

  • When your application is in pending, volunteers can change the application form by the following steps

  • If your application is accepted, you are not able to edit the submitted information. If it is necessary, you should inform the organisation contact person

  • You can use the "View/edit application" function in the mobile APP

  • Login and click "Schedule"

  • Click "✎" in the top right corner to edit the application form

  • Click "SAVE" at the top right corner of the page

  • The contact information can be found in the email and service details

How to cancel an application?

  • When your application is in pending, volunteers can cancel the application by the following steps. If your application is accepted, you are not able to edit the submitted information. If it is necessary, you should inform the organisation contact person

Mobile APP :

  • Click “Schedule” to check all applied volunteer opportunities and status

  • Click the applied volunteer opportunity you want to cancel

  • Click the detail and then click edit at the top right hand corner of the page

  • Click “Cancel Volunteer Application"

  • You can cancel their applications themselves not later than 48 hours before the service date. In case you have to cancel the applications within 48 hours before the service date, you should contact the organisation to report absent

How to report absence? (unable to attend particular sessions)

  • If your application is accepted but you are unable to attend particular session of the service, volunteers can report absence by following steps and the organisation will be notified

    • You can use the "Report absence" function in the mobile APP

    • Click "Schedule" and click the service you applied

    • Click "✎" in the top right corner and click "⛔ " to unselect the session(s) you can't attend

    • Fill in the reason for absence and click "OK"

    • Session(s) will be shown as "Absent Notified"

  • Nevertheless, volunteers cannot report absence / cancel the application themselves within 48 hours before the service. You should contact the person in charge of the organisation

  • The contact information can be found in the email and service details

How to report service hours?

  • When volunteers complete a service, please follow the instructions below to report hours. After receiving the hours reported by volunteers, the organisation will check and confirm the hours as soon as possible

Mobile APP :

  • Enter the "Schedule" tab

  • Click the volunteer service to report hours

How to report service hours?

  • The recruiting organization will confirm your service hours after the service. After the organisation has confirmed your service hours, the record would be shown on your Social CV

  • Normally, it will take about 14 days for this progress

  • If you still cannot see the record, you can contact the person in charge of the organization

  • Besides that, you could provide us with the name of the organisation and the volunteer opportunity. With your information, we will assist to contact them
